Patna, April 23, 2021: As many as 9228 patients suffering from COVID-19 recovered in the last 24 in the state. As per data provided by the Bihar Health Department 77.88 percent recovery rate has been registered.

However, 11801 new cases have been found in the state. In which, 2720 new cases registered in the state capital Patna and this is a worrying situation. Along with Patna, Gaya also registered 655 cases and 568 in Saran.

According to information received from the Health Department on Monday, 80,461 samples were corona tested in the state in the last 24 hours.

On Monday, 16 patients died at NMCH in Patna. Yesterday, 11 patients lost their lives in this hospital. On the other hand, Assistant Audit Officer Ranjit Kumar died from Corona in the inspection section of East Central Railway, Hajipur. Five patients lost their life in AIIMS Patna on Monday.

Dr Poonam, a resident doctor of Sahebganj, died in Bhagalpur. In Bettiah, 8 infected people died from Sunday night to Monday morning. On Monday, 7 infected people died in the Buxar district.

Apart from this, the sample collected from persons of other state is 44.
