Agra, 22nd December 2022: The increased number of cases of coronavirus due to a new variant across China and other countries has raised concerns in India as well. The Health Department has now issued new guidelines for those visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra.

According to ANI, the Health Department has said that entry into the Taj Mahal will be permitted to people only after they get tested for Covid. In this regard, the District Information Officer of the Health Department, Anil Satsangi, said that given the increase in cases, corona testing has been made mandatory for all tourists. Earlier it was mandatory only for foreign tourists. But due to the increasing cases, now it will be mandatory for every person who enters the Taj Mahal to bring a certificate of corona test (RT PCR).

Vigilance has been increased for the prevention of corona infection. The Health Department will keep an eye on tourists from China, Japan, Brazil, and America as well as people returning from these countries. Hotel operators have also been warned. Patients with cold, cough and fever are being advised to wear masks.
