New Delhi, 24th May 2021: Olympic wrestler Sushil Kumar was arrested on Sunday after being on the run for 19 days. It is learnt that Sushil Kumar made his associates capture the video of the 4th May incident so that his feared reputation stays the same. He moved through seven states and UTs and he also kept changing Sim cards on his mobile.
According to police, Sushil Kumar told his friend Prince to make a video. In the video, it is seen that Sushil Kumar is beating up Sagar and his two friends, Sonu and Amit Kumar. After this incident, Sagar breathed his last and Sushil Kumar ran away, police informed.
Sushil Kumar was arrested along with five of his associates. The local court sent them to six days of police custody. Earlier, a non-bailable arrest warrant had been issued against Suhail Kumar. He tried to get anticipatory bail but it was rejected by the court.
“He has been charged with murder, attempt to murder, assault, and criminal conspiracy along with other charges,” said DCP Pramod Kushwaha, Delhi Police Special Cell.
