Kolkata, 09 June 2021: JDBI launches a month long Virtual Internship program, so that students are not deprived from gaining experience in the industry during the current Pandemic scenario. It has been a sustained pursuit of the institution that students do not miss out on any single opportunity whether it be online dissemination, regular online assessments or online internship at reputed industry houses. It gives great satisfaction to see our students, over 300 in numbers, getting online internship opportunities with 88 leading organizations giving them a scope to explore their potential in the industry and thereafter chart a bright career in future notwithstanding any impediments imposed by the crisis.

The Virtual Internship will be covering several aspects of training to stay in sync with the rapidly changing requirements towards a new global order that is emergent in the face of the pandemic. The range of training facilities to be imparted to our students will include developing Business Ideas and incubation of Startups, Business development and sales, Social media Promotion and Marketing and marketing Techniques, developing and building new marketing Channels and the use of digital tools for marketing, Market trends and sales Forecasting, building Customer relations, probable risks in the market, techniques to map retail Universe in aNew market, Financial services, Develop Positive Business and Customer Relationships, crowd and NGO Funding to begin with.

Students in the department of Food Science and Nutrition Management have earned internships with reputed names in the industry like Healthify me, Diet MantraFood and wellness Nutrition Tattva to mention a few.  Students from the Department of Textile Science, Clothing and fashion Studies at ArjunAgarwal, Nero, Indian Silk House agencies, Unicraft, Paarsh Atelier to name a few. Best names in the interior Design industry in Eastern India like Finesse, Art Collection, Architect, Nolte, Olive, Admire Exterior and Interior have also given opportunity for our students from the Department of Interior design to Intern with them. The students from the Departmentof Human Development have also been selected for internship at Carpediem, IMSE, Disha, and Jungle Crows Foundation.
