New Delhi, Dec 24, 2020: The District Committee North Goa under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan conducted a program for the training of master trainers and volunteers at St. Michael’s High School, Anjuna to train them for community Drug Demand Reduction. The one day training program was inaugurated by Shri Sagar Gaude, Dy Collector (North) on behalf of the Collector (North Goa). The objective of the training was to train the master trainers and sensitize the volunteers about the Drug Demand Reduction.

The training also included field visit to the Integrated Rehabilitation Center for addicts Kripa Foundation, Anjuna. Various training sessions were conducted throughout the day. The speakers for the training included Dr.Shaheen S. Senior Psychiatrist District Hospital, Mapusa, Mrs.Reina Fernandes, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, PI Mr. Shitakani Nayak and ASI Mr. Shankar Komarpant (ANC) Mr.Uday Gaunker Assistant director, Education Department, and Mr.Shrikant Banerji, Kripa Foundation, Program Coordinator. Member Secretary Mrs.Supriya Manjrekar welcomed all the participants.The Dy Collector on behalf of Collector gave the keynote address on objective of the District campaign and role of District Committe so as to implement the Drug Demand Reduction plan.

The program ended with the distribution of the certificates at the hands of Mrs.Deepali Naik, Director of Social Welfare and vote of Thanks by Shri. Nitish Manral, Nehru Yuva Kendra. Special mention has to be made of the host Shri Shrikant Banerjee who has organized the event on behalf of Kripa Foundation and North Goa, District Committe , Nasha Mukth Bharat Abhiyan.
