Kolkata, March 1, 2021: More than 25 central forces have arrived in Bengal before the assembly elections and have started the route march in the various areas of Bengal. Out of these, five companies of central forces have arrived in Nadia district. Three companies under Krishnanagar police district, and two companies are under Ranaghat police district.
From Sunday morning, central force personnel started route marches in Ranaghat, Shantipur, Coopers Camp, Tahirpur areas. SDPO of Ranaghat, Prabir Mandal, said that the central forces and the police station officers have started a route march and additional emphasis has been led on the route march, keeping the last election in mind.
Central force personnel marched in various areas of Barasat since morning. On Saturday night, three company SSB personnel, destined for Barasat Police District, arrived. All nine stations are marching in various areas in different teams.
BJP’s chief spokesperson of West Bengal, Shamik Bhattacharya, alleged that Congress-Left Front and ISF meeting in Kolkata’s Brigade ground did not raise the slogan Vande Mataram even once in the congregation of the assembly. He said, ‘why the BJP’s slogan of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ was communal? Why was it silent about the slogan in the brigade? He even said, such an old Congress party bowed down to the CPI(M), who is talking about farmers today, but never agitated against the farmers’ demands against the Trinamool government.
