New Delhi, March 22, 2021: In the midst of the growing cases of Corona in Delhi, there will now be random testing of Covid-19 at the airport and railway stations. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has taken this decision in a meeting on Monday. There will be increased vigilance, action will be taken on those who do not follow mask and social distancing guidelines. There will be no restriction on Holi celebrations in the capital. However, a guideline is likely to be issued by the Delhi government.
After 823 new cases on Sunday, the number of active patients in the capital has also increased to 3,618. On Sunday, 613 patients were discharged while four patients succumbed to corona. In Delhi, the total number of corona patients has become 6,47,984. Of these, 6,33,410 patients have recovered from the corona. Meanwhile, 10,956 patients died due to corona. In Delhi, the death rate from Corona has been 1.69 percent.
According to the department, out of more than 3,600 active patients of Corona in Delhi, 892 patients are admitted at various hospitals in Delhi. There are 10 patients in Covid Care Center and 1893 patients in Home Isolation. According to the department, four patients under the Vande Bharat mission are also in isolation.
