Patna, February 02, 2021: Under the chairmanship of District Magistrate (DM) Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, a meeting was held in Hindi Bhavan with officials and representatives of the Transport Association and necessary instructions were given to start the Interstate Bus Terminal (ISBT) at Baria.

There are plans to start bus service from the terminal to Gaya and Jehanabad in the initial phase. Before starting the work, 15 days has been given to make all necessary arrangements. The remaining work in the terminal has to be completed in this time period so that the work can be started as per the plan.

Under this, instructions were given to ensure the installation of CCTV, Public Announcement system, ticket counters, boundary walls, toilets, drinking water, signage, control rooms etc. within 15 days. The Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (BUDCO) officer was instructed to complete the work by regular monitoring. Along with this, instructions were given to identify the place for police outposts.

Patna Municipal Commissioner Himanshu Sharma, Additional Collector Revenue Rajeev Srivastava, District Transport Officer Purushottam Kumar and representatives of the Transport Association were present in the meeting.
