New Delhi, 23rd April 2021: In the midst of the Corona havoc, there is an outcry over oxygen in Delhi. Meanwhile, another painful incident has come to light in Delhi. At the Sir Gangaram Hospital in Delhi, 25 patients have died in the last 24 hours due to lack of oxygen. It is being told that there are only two hours of oxygen left with the hospital and the lives of about 60 patients are in danger.

According to the news agency ANI, the Medical Director of Sir Gangaram Hospital in Delhi reported that 25 sick patients have died in the hospital in the last 24 hours. The oxygen bus to the hospital will run for two hours. The ventilator not working effectively. Oxygen is urgently needed. The life of 60 other sick patients is at risk due to lack of oxygen.

The Medical Director of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi further said that efforts are being made to restore ventilation in the ICU and Emergency Medical Department in a non-mechanistic manner. Lack of oxygen in the hospitals of the capital Delhi, many hospitals have stopped recruiting new patients suffering from corona.

At present, more than 500 infected patients are admitted in Delhi’s Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and 150 of these patients are on ‘High Flow Oxygen Support’. Hospital officials had sent an emergency message to the government on Thursday night, stating that there were only five hours of oxygen left in the health center and requested immediate supply. In the last four days, oxygen supply arrangements in several private hospitals of the city have been affected. Some hospitals requested the Delhi government to send patients to other health centers as well.

Like Sir Gangaram Hospital, there is only a short time stock of oxygen left in the Hindu Rao Hospital in Delhi. In such a situation, the ICU has been asked to use the remaining oxygen and to use an oxygen concentrator in the wards, in view of the lack of oxygen, the hospital has stopped recruiting new corona patients. Similarly, in the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini, the recruitment of new patients have been stopped after the scarcity of oxygen.

Similarly, new patients are not being admitted for some time in hospitals like Apollo, Max, Vimhans.
