New Delhi, 17th January 2022: NEET UG counselling 2021-22 commencement delay due to hearing in Supreme Court on the issue of reservation for OBC and EWS quota and then after the apex court justified the reservation, the four-stage counselling schedule will be decided by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) at the Central Institutes and the seats of All India Quota (AIQ) was released on 13 January 2022.

On the other hand, counselling has also been started for state quota seats in institutions located in many states by the concerned authorities. Now the National Medical Commission (NMC) has also fixed the deadline for the completion of NEET-UG 2021-22 counselling for UG seats of MCC as well as state quota.

According to the schedule released by NMC regarding NEET UG 2021 counselling on January 14, 2022, the first phase of counselling for central institutes and AIQ seats is to be conducted by MCC from January 19 to January 28. At the same time, UG counselling in the states will have to be completed from January 27 to January 31, 2022. After this, joining will have to be taken by February 4 for central seats and by February 7 for state seats.

Similarly, as per the NEET UG counselling 2021-22 released by NMC, the second phase of counselling will have to be completed by MCC from February 9 to February 18 and after that candidates will have to join by February 26. The second phase of counselling for state quota seats will be held from February 15 to 18, 2022 and candidates will have to join by February 24.

After the second round of counselling, as per NMC, MCC will conduct the mop-up round from March 2 to 11 and candidates will have to join by March 19. On the other hand, the mop-up in the states will be held from 7th to 10th March and the last date of joining is 15th March 2022.
