Delhi, 20th November 2022: In Delhi-NCR, the general public has got another blow of inflation. Mother Dairy has once again increased the price of milk. The new prices will be effective from Monday. Milk price has been increased for the fourth time in Delhi-NCR this year.
Mother Dairy has increased full cream milk by Rs one per litre. At the same time, the price of toned milk has been increased by Rs two per litre. Mother Dairy Company is one of the largest milk-supplying companies in Delhi NCR. Mother Dairy supplies more than 30 lakh litres of milk daily.
From Monday, full-cream milk will be available at Rs 64/litre instead of Rs 63/litre. On the other hand, toned milk will be available at Rs 50 per litre instead of Rs 48. A Mother Dairy spokesperson said there has been no increase in the price of half a litre packet of full-cream milk, which is a matter of some relief to the people.
At a time when people are struggling with the brunt of inflation, the increase in the price of milk can spoil the budget of the house. The spokesman said the price of milk has been increased due to costlier raw milk from the farmers. Mother Dairy gives milk producers about 75-80 per cent of the prices paid by consumers. He said that this year, the entire dairy industry is witnessing a huge gap in the demand and supply of milk.
On October 16, Mother Dairy increased the prices of full-cream milk and cow’s milk by Rs two per litre in Delhi-NCR and some other markets in North India. In March and August, the price of all types of milk increased by Rs two per litre again.
