New Delhi, 5th May 2021: Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, summer vacations have been announced ahead of schedule in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and other states, now summer vacations have been started ahead of schedule in Kendriya Vidyalayas as well.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has recently issued a notice revising the predetermined dates of summer vacation as well as winter vacation in summer places except Kendriya Vidyalayas located in colder and colder parts of the country. According to the notice of KVS, summer vacation has started from Monday, May 3 in hot places, which will continue till June 20, 2021. Thus KVS has declared a total of 49 days of summer vacation.

The regions for which KVS in its notice has directed to implement summer vacation till June 20, include Agra, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Dehradun, Delhi, Gurugram, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jammu, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Silchar, Tinsukia, Varanasi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ernakulam, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Mumbai, Raipur, Bhubaneswar and Bhopal. According to the new schedule, summer vacation will be implemented in the Kendriya Vidyalayas coming under these regions.

Meanwhile, KVS has not yet announced the dates of winter vacation in these regions. According to the notice of the organization, “Information regarding autumn/winter vacation will be given separately.”

On the other hand, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has not made any revision to the pre-announced dates of summer vacations in winter places. These include Kendriya Vidyalaya at Leh, Kargil and Nubra (Ladakh) UT, Kendriya Vidyalaya Tawang, Kendriya Vidyalaya Dalhousie and Kendriya Vidyalaya Kathmandu (Nepal).
