Ranchi, 4th January 2023: On Tuesday (January 3), the Jharkhand government stated that it aims to facilitate the education of nine lakh adolescent girls in the state under the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana (SPKSY).

In October of last year, Chief Minister Hemant Soren inaugurated the welfare programme from Giridih along with the “Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar” campaign, a drive to bring the advantages of various government programmes to the doorsteps of villagers.

A statement issued by the government said, “The state government’s Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana is an endeavour to support teenage girls’ education and a step toward women’s empowerment and gender justice. This programme will benefit nine lakh adolescent girls in the state.
