Jaipur, August 14, 2020: Heavy rainfall in Pink city caused waterlogging, and traffic in major parts. Today’s rainfall disrupted the normal life of Jaipur. 113 mm of rainfall was recorded across the city till 1 pm. Landslides, thunderstrike, overflowing of Jal Mahal and Dravyawati river were also seen.
13 teams of civil defence and 4 teams of state disaster relief force, rescued people who were stuck in this situation across the city. The heavy rainfall damaged houses of people living in low-lying areas of Jaipur. It also affected the railways and as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, Jaipur and many other parts of Rajasthan will witness heavy rainfall for the next 24 hours as well.
Various photos and videos are being surfaced on the internet, where people are comparing the situation with Mumbai, some people were also seen raising a voice against the government for improper facilities and the water clogging. Jaipurites are praying for Jaipur and the damage this painful rain has caused.
