New Delhi 13 April 2021: The Indian Railways, under the leadership of Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Commerce and Industry and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Distribution have been undergoing massive technological revolution in pursuance of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of “Startup India”, Stand up India” & “Atmanirbhar Bharat” to ensure that the world looks upon India as a self reliant country and as an Human Resource Capital of the world.

 

IRCTC has already conducted skill development programme for approx 2500 Nos. of trainees &   also restarted short term skill development programme namely “Hunar Se Rozgar tak” under ‘CBSP’ Capacity Building for Service Providers scheme sponsored by Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India. The programme is aimed at targeting persons in need to acquire skills facilitative to employment in the field of Hospitality, Catering  & Tourism.

The program is being conducted at IRCTC Base Kitchen Complex, New Delhi Railway Station, Ajmeri Gate Side, and New Delhi for the year 2020-21.

The skill development Employability courses offered under this program are Multi Cuisine Cook (3 Months) Food & Beverage Service (Steward) (2 ½ Months) & Home Delivery Boys (2 Months), To apply for Cooks & Home Delivery boys courses, candidates must be minimum 8th class pass and for Food & Beverage Service course candidates must be 10th pass. Candidates should be of minimum 18 years of age for both courses.

Considering the program need based and support learning, the candidates are being provided with uniform ToolkitLunch and other study material complimentary basis. On successful Completion of course, pass out candidate will be awarded with certificates & stipend of Rs.1,500-2,000 each. IRCTC also takes effort in assisting them in their placement.

This commendable course run by the Minister of Tourism is like a complete solution in its own right, which not only trains the youth to be employed oriented but also makes them capable in the field of becoming self-reliant and self employed.
