Panchkula (Haryana), 2nd August 2022: In Haryana, the Congress held a Chintan Shivir on Monday. Given the general elections of 2024 and then the assembly elections after that, many big promises were also made by the Congress leadership.

Former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda said, “If the Congress government comes to the state, then the elderly will be given a pension of Rs 6,000 a month. Apart from this, 300 units of free electricity and a plot of up to 100 yards will also be available to the poor to build houses.”

At a camp organized at a hotel in Panchkula, Bhupinder Singh Hooda also supported the conduct of a caste census. He also announced increasing the OBC creamy layer. Hooda said that this limit should be increased from 6 to 10 lakh.

The state president, Udaybhan, said, “We will not sit peacefully till the BJP and JJP government are overthrown. The new team of Congressmen in the state would be announced in August itself.”

Raghbir Kadian said that the government should find solutions to the issues related to agriculture. In particular, the minimum support price should be guaranteed.

MLA Geeta Bhukkal presented a proposal regarding Dalits, backwards and women. He said that these sections have been neglected in the present BJP government.
