New Delhi, 9th May 2022: There have been 3,207 new cases of coronavirus in India in the last 24 hours, which is 7 per cent less than yesterday. According to the data released by the Ministry of Health, 29 people have died due to corona in the last 24 hours. With this, the death toll in the country from Corona has reached 5,24,093. According to the reports, at present, the total active cases of corona in the country are 20,403. Whereas in 24 hours 3,410 people have recovered from Corona. So far a total of 42,560,905 people have been cured of corona.
In the country’s capital Delhi, for several days in a row, more than one thousand cases of corona are coming to light. On Sunday, 1,422 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported. However, no new case of death has been recorded. At the same time, the infection rate has been 5.34 per cent.
64 students living in two hostels in Odisha’s Raigad district have been found infected with the coronavirus. Meanwhile, 71 new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in the state on Sunday. Officials said that the total number of people found infected with the corona virus in the state has gone up to 12,88,202. No new cases of death due to infection were reported, so the total number of dead is still 9,126.
According to the Union Ministry, the government is continuously engaged in expanding the scope of Covid-19 vaccination. The new phase was started from June 21, 2021 to make the corona vaccine available to all the citizens. The pace of the vaccination campaign has been increased through the availability of more and more vaccines. So far, about 193.53 crore (1,93,53,58,865) doses of vaccine have been made available to the states through free and direct state government procurement channels. At present, more than 18.34 crore (18,34,94,170) additional and unused doses of COVID-19 vaccine are available with the states, which are to be administered.
