Delhi, 17th October 2022: The CBI on Sunday summoned Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in connection with the liquor policy case in Delhi. He has been called for questioning on Monday. While the Aam Aadmi Party targeted the central government, calling it a conspiracy, the BJP accused AAP of breaking records of corruption.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia tweeted on Sunday that he has been called to CBI Headquarters at 11 am on Monday. He said in the past 14 hours, CBI raids were conducted at his house, but nothing was found. The bank locker was also searched. A team also went to his village but got nothing. “I will cooperate with Satyameva Jayate,” he said.
After this tweet, the Aam Aadmi Party came out in support of Sisodia. Referring to his works, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “75 years later, such an education minister was found who gave good education to the poor and gave hope for a bright future. The prayers of crores of poor are with you (Manish Sisodia).” The party alleged that this step has been taken to stop the party’s campaign in Gujarat.
AAP has attacked the central government for summoning Sisodia to the CBI headquarters for questioning. AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that the inquiry is an excuse. Preparations are on to arrest them. In the press conference, the AAP MP said that both the CBI and the BJP have prepared and sent a notice to Manish Sisodia for questioning at the CBI headquarters on Monday. But this notice is not for questioning, it is a preparation for Sisodia’s arrest. Because elections are about to be announced in Gujarat. Many programs and meetings of Manish Sisodia are to be held there. Before that, preparations are being made to send them to jail.
AAP MLA Atishi said that the BJP wants to stop Sisodia from campaigning in Gujarat. Therefore, a conspiracy has been hatched to arrest him by calling the CBI Headquarters. This is not a matter of liquor policy but AAP’s growing popularity in Gujarat.
AAP’s chief spokesperson and MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj said that Sisodia has been summoned by the CBI yesterday. “They have nothing to do with any scam in liquor policy but try to keep them away from Gujarat. But I want to tell the BJP that the more AAP leaders BJP will put in jail, the stronger we will be in Gujarat.”
BJP President JP Nadda alleged at the Panch Parmeshwar Sammelan that AAP had promised a clean government in Delhi, but it did scams in the Excise Department, DTC bus purchase, construction of toilets and Delhi Jal Board. Nadda said, “Chief Minister Kejriwal had said that he would implement prohibition, but liquor contracts were opened in every locality.” He alleged that there is no principal in 745 Delhi government schools.
JP Nadda targeted the education model of the Delhi government. He said that the Central Vigilance Commission report shows that there are no teachers and principals in Delhi schools. Science and commerce are not taught in 70 percent of the schools in Delhi. There is a severe shortage of teachers in Delhi schools.
The BJP accused the Aam Aadmi Party of playing pressure politics after Manish Sisodia was summoned by the CBI. Party spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said on Sunday that AAP leaders are claiming that Sisodia will be arrested. “You should refrain from the politics of pressurizing the investigating agencies.”
