Agartala, 24th November 2022: According to legislator Dr. Dilip Kumar Das, Tripura will get its first Dental college by the next academic year in June or July. According to Das, IGM Hospital’s new building would be used for the college.
The Health Department has already established some infrastructure for classrooms, operating rooms, pathology, and administrative work based on the recommendations of an expert committee,
In the beginning, the college will operate out of the hospital’s new structure, but subsequently, it will be moved to Khejurbagan, next to the Raj Bhavan, where five acres of land have been allocated, he said.
To inspect the facilities built for the establishment of the dental college, Chief Minister Manik Saha visited the new seven-story building of IGM Hospital on Tuesday with Health Secretary Dr. Debasish Basu.

According to Das, the CM of Tripura will ask the Dental Council of India (DCI) to visit the college for affiliation after the necessary infrastructure has been put in place.
