Patna, 18 April 2021: Seven smart parking spaces will be built in the state capital Patna. Locations for them have also been selected.

Principal Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department and chairman of Patna Smart City Ltd., Anand Kishore in the 17th meeting of Patna Smart City Board, that was held virtually on Saturday, instructed to prepare a plan for parking at the identified places soon.

It was informed by the Managing Director of Patna Smart City that in the 16th Board meeting, the Board had directed to form a three-member committee for IOT-based automated vehicle parking. This included DM Patna, MD Budco and MD Patna Smart City to give recommendations regarding the type of parking and its location in the ABD area. Areas have been marked for Puzzle Parking in Mauryalok Complex, Shuttle Dolly System with Robotic Technology near Old Milk Market in Railway Station Area, Near Tamtam Stop, Near Boring Canal Road Yellow Kothi, Near Pant Bhawan, Puzzle Parking in front of Vidyut Bhawan and Shuttle dolly system with robotic technology in front of Vikas Bhawan.

Birchand Patel Path to Bailey Road will be built:  The construction of a new wide road from Birchand Patel to Nehru Path (Bailey Road) through the back section of Vidyut Bhavan at a cost of Rs 2.06 crores has been approved. Due to the construction of the road, the load of vehicles will be reduced on the income tax roundabout.

Beautification of the exterior of Gandhi Maidan: The beautification of the exterior of Gandhi Maidan has been reduced by 42 percent from the DPR Rs 18.64 crore made earlier. Now it will be beautified with Rs 10.78 crore.
