Hajipur, 10th June 2021: Five bike-borne miscreants have looted Rs 1.19 crore from HDFC Bank in broad daylight. The incident took place around 11 am in Jadhua.
According to police, the robbers walked into the bank and locked the door from inside. After this, they carried out the robbery by taking bank employees and a customer as hostage. The miscreants also took away Rs 44,000 of the customer.
Senior officials reached the spot after getting information about the incident. Tirhut range IG Ganesh Kumar and Vaishali SP Manish visited the crime scene and inspected it. Police are examining the footage of CCTV cameras installed around the spot.
Shortly after the opening of the bank, the robbers entered the bank and fled after committing the crime by threatening with a weapon.
After the miscreants left, the bank employees informed the police.

Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai’s house is just a short distance away from the HDFC Bank where the miscreants have carried out such a big robbery.
