Patna, April 25, 2021: A fire broke out on the top floor of the Apsara Hotel near the Buddha statue located in the Kadamkuan police station area in the capital Sunday. The incident took place in the banquet hall room of the hotel. Seeing the flames, the people present there started running towards the lower basement. There are no casualties reported so far.

Goods worth thousands of rupees were destroyed due to the fire. The cause of the fire is said to be a short circuit. Police and firefighters arrived after receiving information about the incident and managed to control the fire.

It was reported an engagement ceremony was organised and people were in a room on the upper floor. During this time, suddenly smoke started coming out of a room and then a fire broke out.

People immediately came to the basement. Kadamkuan Police station in-charge Vimalendu said that the cause of the fire was a short circuit. The fire was in a room, which was extinguished in time.
