Due to the Assembly Elections in many states for the last two months. There has been no increase in petrol-diesel prices even after crude oil became expensive last month.

The price of crude oil was 61 per barrel in February, which came to 64.73 in March. Right now it is being sold at around 69. In the coming days, the price of petrol and diesel may go up further. Petrol-diesel prices may go up by Rs 2 to 3

After adding excise duty, dealer commission and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles. If the excise duty of the central government and the VAT of the state governments are removed, the rate of diesel and petrol would be around Rs 27 per liter, but whether it is the central or the state government, both cannot remove the tax at any cost. Because a large part of the revenue comes from here.

In fact, petrol and diesel prices fluctuate on a daily basis in the international market along with foreign exchange rates. Oil marketing companies fix the rates of petrol and diesel on a daily basis after reviewing the prices. Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum issue revised rates of petrol and diesel daily at 6 am.
