Karnataka, 21st February 2022: Amid the ongoing hijab controversy in Karnataka, a 26-year-old Bajrang Dal activist, Harsh was killed at around 9 pm on Sunday in the Shivamogga region. After the death of the young man, the situation of tension has increased in the whole area, given that the security in the city has been tightened.

Meanwhile, the body of Harsh is being taken to his residence amidst police security after postmortem in the afternoon. A large crowd is seen running behind the ambulance, including workers of Hindu organizations.

Ever since the Hijab dispute started in Karnataka, there have been continuous protests in Shivamogga. Meanwhile, the 23-year-old Bajrang Dal worker was brutally stabbed to death in the Bharti Colony of the city last Sunday night. The worker was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Some miscreants set fire to several vehicles in the Sigehatti area of Shivamogga town. The fire brigade reached the spot to extinguish the fire. There is an atmosphere of indignation among the people due to the violent incidents taking place in the state.

Meanwhile, schools and colleges have been closed.
