New Delhi, 15th June 2021: The house of senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, who had alleged scam in the land purchase of Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, was attacked on Tuesday. He had tweeted this information and alleged that those arrested were trying to enter his house to attack him. However, his colleagues had stopped them and handed them over to the police. He said that four to five people were involved in the attack.
He took on Twitter and tweeted- “My house has been attacked. Listen with open ears, BJP men no matter how much hooliganism you do, I will not allow donations to be stolen in the name of the temple construction of Lord Shri Ram. Even if I get killed for this.”
While talking on a news channel, he stated that the attackers were raising slogans against him and about the Ram Janmbhoomi Trust. Singh had alleged a scam in the land purchase of Ram Janmbhoomi Trust during his stay in Uttar Pradesh. After the attack, he said that he had been receiving death threats of being burnt alive for a few months
On June 13th, Singh had leveled allegations of land scam on Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Lucknow. During this, Singh had said that Champat Rai, with the help of Anil Mishra, a member of the organization, had bought land worth Rs 2 crore for Rs 18 crore. Describing it as a case of money laundering, Singh has demanded a probe by the CBI and the Central Enforcement Directorate on the matter.
