Delhi, 23rd November 2022: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), launched The Urban Outcome Framework 2022 (UOF-22) on 9th November 2022. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), GoI, released the first “Ease of Living Index” covering 111 Cities in 2018. It was followed by the Ease of Living Index (EoLI) 2.0 and the Municipal Performance Index (MPI) in 2019.

It is envisaged as an annual exercise to help cities move towards outcome-based planning and urban management. The Urban Outcome Framework 2022 (UOF-22) comprises sectors like Demography, Economy, Education, Energy, Finance, Environment, Governance and ICT, Health, Housing, Mobility, Planning, Safety and Security, Solid Waste Management, and Water and Sanitation. These frameworks encompass a total of 450+ indicators across the sectors.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has launched the Citizen Perception Survey (CPS) under the Ease of Living Index (EoLI) assessment, intending to capture the perception of citizens on the quality of life in their city. The feedback of citizens received through CPS will help improve urban governance through participatory planning and further aid in formulating better policies for the citizens. The Citizen Perception Survey (CPS) is for a period from 10th November to 23rd December 2022
