New Delhi, 23 March 2022: The scheme of ‘Pradhan Mantri Dakshta Aur Kushalta Sampann Hitgrahi’ (PM-DAKSH) has been launched by Department of Social Justice and Empowerment during 2020-21 to impart skill development training to the youth (age between 18-45 years) belonging to Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes/Economically Backward Classes/De-notified Tribes and Safai karamcharis including Waste pickers through online registration at PM-DAKSH portal on pan India basis. The training is free of cost and is implemented through three Corporations viz. National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) for Scheduled Castes, National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC) for Other Backward Classes/Economically Backward Classes/Denotified Tribes and National Safai Karamcharis Finance & Development Corporation (NSKFDC) for Safai Karamchairs including Waste Pickers.

The details of the training commenced and placements made during 2020-21 and 2021-22 in respect of the SC/OBC/EBC/DNT beneficiaries in Rajasthan are given below:

PM-DAKSH is a uniform skill development training programme for SC/OBC/EBC/DNT and Safai Karamcharis including Waste Pickers. The training is provided through Government and reputed private training institutes finalized for this scheme out of the empanelled training institutes under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) scheme of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). There is no provision under the scheme for setting up training institutions in the country. More and more training institutes empanelled with MSDE are added to broaden the ambit of training institutes in the country.
