Delhi, 15th July 2022: A major wall collapsing accident took place on Friday afternoon in Delhi’s Alipur where five labourers have died. The wall of the warehouse which was under construction collapsed and buried labourers under the rubble. Nine labourers were rescued and the injured were soon admitted to hospital. The condition of two labourers from the rescue is said to be critical. The removal of debris is being done at the accident site.

A warehouse wall was under construction in Alipur. At around one o’clock on Friday, the wall collapsed, burying all the workers present under it. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the fire brigade personnel reached the spot and started relief and rescue work of the workers.

A team from the Regional Response Center of NDRF Ghaziabad, Dwarka Delhi was sent to the spot. Nine laborers were pulled alive from the rubble. The injured were immediately admitted to Raja Harishchandra Hospital. The injured are undergoing treatment. The reason behind the incident is not clear yet.

Expressing grief over the incident, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that he is keeping an eye on the relief work. The Chief Minister tweeted, “A sad accident happened in Alipur. The district administration is engaged in relief and rescue work. I am keeping an eye on the relief work. Pray to God for the peace of the departed souls.”
