Patna, 4th May 2021: As the corona cases are increasing in the state, the Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar has announced a complete lockdown from May 5 to 15.

The Home Department has issued a guideline about the lockdown. All government, private offices will be closed. Only establishments or institutions related to essential services will remain open. Trains connected to public transport will run, but with half of the capacity. There will be no public movement on the road and no private vehicle will be allowed on the road.

The Home Department, in its detailed order issued on May 4, said that the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic has increased the number of patients in many states of the country including Bihar. Due to this, the current status of corona infection in the state was reviewed at the meeting of the Disaster Management Group. It was found in the review that the rate of infection in the state has remained more than 10 percent continuously for the last week.

The Indian Medical Association(IMA), the doctors of Patna AIIMS, businessmen associated with CAIT and the organization of engineers BESA are also constantly demanding to impose a complete lockdown in the state. Patna High Court also sought a reply from the state government on this issue on Monday.

These restrictions are being imposed from May 5 to May 15.

1) All offices (except essential services) from the State Government will remain closed. Offices related to the district administration, police, civil defence, electricity, water supply, sanitation, fire brigade, health, disaster management, telecommunications, postal department will be open. The decision taken by the High Court regarding judicial administration will apply.

2) Establishments related to hospitals and other related establishments (including animal health), their manufacturing and distribution units, government and private, pharmaceutical shops, medical labs, nursing homes, ambulance services will continue to function.

3) Commercial and other private establishments will remain closed.

Exception-

A) Establishments related to banking, insurance and ATM operations
B) Establishment related to industrial and manufacturing work
C) all types of construction work
D) All activities related to e-commerce
E) Agriculture and allied works
F) Print and electronic media
G) Activities related to telecommunication, Internet services, broadcasting and cable services
H) Retail and storage establishments related to petrol pumps, LPG, petroleum etc.
I) Meat-fish / milk / PDS shops of essential food items, fruits and vegetables (including round-the-clock sale) – from 7 am to 11 am.
J) Cold storage and warehousing services.
K) Private security services.

4) Home deliveries from restaurants in a lockdown can be ordered from 9 am to 9 pm.

5) All educational institutions in the state will also remain closed.

6) 50 people are allowed in marriage, no DJs allowed, You have to inform the nearest police station 3 days in advance and 20 people are allowed in rituals.
