Patna, 4th May 2021: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of thunderstorms till May 7. On Monday, Thunderstorms were reported in many districts in Bihar. The speed of thunderstorms was recorded between 40 to 50 kilometre per hour. Temperatures have dropped due to thunderstorms.

On Monday, a drizzle was witnessed in many areas including Patna, Nalanda, Nawada, Sasaram, Jehanabad, Munger, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Jamui, Bhojpur, Saran, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur. At present, the sky will be transformed for a few days.

According to the Meteorological Department, the area of a cyclonic circulation is located in western Uttar Pradesh and adjoining area at 0.9 km above sea level. From here a trough line is passing from eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Sub Himalayan West Bengal to Assam at 1.5 km above sea level. As a result, the wind is expected to run at a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour.
