Akhnoor, 7th June 2022: The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel deployed in the security of the Indian border once again foiled the nefarious plot of Pakistan. The Border Security Force has recovered 5 kg IED sent by Pakistan to the children’s tiffin with the help of a drone with the intention of disturbing the Amarnath Yatra. Before the jawans shot down the drone, this tiffin IED throwing drone near the border returned back to the Pakistan border.
Police sources said that the incident happened around 11 pm. Pakistani drone attempted to infiltrate into Indian territory. Vigilant Border Security Force personnel spotted the drone as soon as it entered Indian territory. The drone was flying about 800 meters above the Kanachak border. The soldiers also fired two to three rounds to bring down the drone, but it managed to return safely. The soldiers feared that while going to the drone, something had been thrown at the border.

Police, BSF and Army personnel carried out the search operation from Monday night to Tuesday morning. During the same search operation, IED was recovered near the border in Kanachak sector. This IED was kept in three tiffin boxes of school going children. It is being told that the police found three magnetic IED bombs inside the children’s tiffin box in the payload. In which different time timers were set. Immediately the Bomb Disposal Squad was called and all the three tiffin bombs were defused. It is feared that this IED has been sent by Pakistan with the intention of disturbing the Amarnath Yatra.
Police sources say that the search is on for the suspects in the surrounding areas. It is feared that terrorists or their allies will definitely be present in the surrounding areas to take these tiffin bombs sent from Pakistan. At the same time, BSF officers congratulated the jawans and said that due to their vigilance, a big incident has been averted in time.
