Patna, 11th May 2021: The police are taking action against vehicle owners who are not following the lockdown rules. In the last 24 hours, 13 cases related to violation of lockdown rules were registered and police arrested 13 people. A large number of vehicles were also seized and fines were levied on those who ignored the rules.

According to Bihar police headquarters, 1106 vehicles have been seized across the state. A fine of Rs 23,83,500 was also recovered from the drivers who did not follow the rules. Since 1st May, 121 cases related to violation of lockdown rules have been registered and 192 people have been arrested. Also, police have seized 8217 vehicles.

Police said that Rs 1.82 lakh was recovered as a penalty in the last 24 hours from 3640 persons who came out without masks.

According to the police, action is being taken against the people for not following the guidelines. More than Rs 17 lakh have been collected as fine from 34052 people for not wearing masks since May 1.
