Patna, 11th May 2021: A special Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft reached Patna from Delhi on Tuesday morning carrying 147 oxygen concentrators.

“A consignment of 147 oxygen concentrators was brought by an IAF aircraft today morning from Delhi. Patna Airport team ensured its smooth handling and quick delivery to the State Govt. Officials,” Patna airport tweeted.

Earlier on May 9, Indian Air Force C-30J aircraft brought a consignment of oxygen cylinders from Delhi. Patna Airport team delivered the consignment to the State Govt.

Around 2500 to 3000 litres per minute (LPM) of oxygen-producing plants will be set up in medical college hospitals in Bihar. On the instructions of the Central Government, it has been decided by the Ministry of Petroleum to set up an oxygen generation plant in nine medical college hospitals in the state.

As per information shared by the Health Department, “NMCH Patna, JKTMCH Madhepura, VIMS Rajgir and MNMCH Gaya will have an Oxygen Generation Plant of 2500 (LPM) capacity and 5000 (LPM) capacity in PMCH to be set up by Oil India Limited. The order has been already issued. The government will spend Rs 21.46 lakh on this project. An oxygen generation plant with a capacity of 2,000 litres per minute at SKMCH Muzaffarpur, DMCH Darbhanga, JLNMCH Bhagalpur and MGKMCH Bettiah will be set up by Namaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL).”
