Patna, 15th May 2021: Southwest Monsoon may enter on June 12 in Bihar, which is a normal time to enter the state. As per the forecast released by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Patna stated that monsoon will enter from east Bihar.

According to officials, last year the monsoon was supposed to enter Bihar around June 5, but it reached on June 12. However, it is a piece of good information for the people of Bihar that this time the monsoon will enter on time. Monsoon may enter Kerala on May 31, at least one day before or four days delay.

According to the official of IMD Patna, “Due to the effects of the cyclonic system developing in the Arabian Sea the monsoon may reach Kerala even a day before, which will be the reason that it may enter at different times in different parts of the country.”

It is expected that the monsoon may enter Bihar by June 12. Earlier, IMD had issued a forecast in April that several districts of the state will receive 20 to 25 percent of rainfall this year. Another report in this regard will be released between 30 to 31 May.

According to IMD Patna, except in Eastern Bihar, the heat may increase once again in the rest of Bihar. There is a possibility of an increase in the maximum temperature by two to three degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours. It is expected that temperature may be increased up to 39-degree Celsius.
