New Delhi, 21 May 2021: In a brawl between two groups at the Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi, many were injured and one dead, Sagar Rana was the one deceased. In the wake of new revelations it was found that wrestler Sushil Kumar, an Olympic medalist is the main accused absconding in the murder case. Forensic Science Lab’s report presented a video footage shot on a mobile where Sushil can be seen beating Sagar with six of his aides.

Allegedly on the night of May 4, Sushil and his associates kidnapped four people including 23-year-old Sagar Rana, and beat him fiercely at the Chhatrasal Stadium. Prince Dalal, one of the attackers, videoed the incident. On the arrival of the police at the scene, everyone escaped, except Prince. During the search, a mobile phone was found on him with videos in which Sushil Kumar is seen beating up Rana with six other offenders.

Video not tampered with 

According to the forensic science lab report, the video found from Prince’s phone was captured on the day of the murder and it is authentic and has not been tampered with.

Many claims about absconding wrestler

Meanwhile, CCTV footage went viral on Thursday in which Sushil could be seen in a white car. According to the Police, the footage was dated May 6, in which his car was passing through the Meerut toll. Sushil could be seen sitting next to the driver with his mask on. He had gone to Haridwar on 5 May then left for Delhi.

A reward of one lakh rupees declared on Sushil

Delhi Police on Monday announced a reward of one lakh rupees to anyone who could provide information about Sushil Kumar. A senior police inspector said that a reward of Rs 50,000 has also been announced on the arrest of Ajay Kumar, an ally of Kumar who is fleeing in the case. A few days back a Delhi court issued non-bailable warrants against Sushil Kumar and six others involved in the Chhatrasal Stadium case. A lookout notice was also issued against Sushil Kumar for the same case. The dispute was over vacating a flat in the Model Town area of Delhi. Statements of the victims have already been recorded by the Police.

Earlier a police officer informed that Sushil Kumar’s name was also registered in the FIR and he is absconding, there have been continuous efforts being made to apprehend him. Raids have been conducted in Delhi-NCR and neighboring states to apprehend Sushil.

According to the police reports, Sushil Kumar, Ajay, Prince Dalal, Sonu, Sagar, Amit, and others were involved in the dispute. A case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Arms Act by the Police. Prince Dalal (24), a resident of Jhajjar, Haryana has already been arrested by the police.
