KISHTWAR, JUNE 11: Execution of 140 approved development works has been re-started in this mountainous district marking the resumption of economic activities with the opening of COVID-19 lockdown.
The execution of the works is going in full swing in different parts of the district involving local and returnee migrant labour and by strictly following Covid-19 protection SOPs like using mask and observing social distancing.
The works being executed are surface cutting; construction of parapets and formations along major roads with main focus on Kishtwar-Dul- Galhar-Sansari road and Margan-Inshan road; construction of Government Degree College Chatroo and Government Polytechnic College Kishtwar; various construction activities at Dam Site HEP Dangduroo and Dool, Construction and maintenance of link roads at many places in the district.
Besides, laying and fitting of G.I. pipes has been undertaken by the engineering wing of Hydraulic Division under B2V and Languishing programme.
Similarly, developmental activities have been started for expeditious completion works in far off areas of Dachhan, Marwah and Warwan.
The District administration is facilitating the execution of works by removing constraints and bottlenecks with timely movement of labour and materials.
