Bhopal, 20th December 2021:The Special Judge, CBI Cases, Gwalior(Madhya Pradesh) has sentenced three accused, namely Dilip Kannoje (Candidate) and Hridesh Rajput, Manish Rajput (both Middlemen) to undergo five years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine in a case related to Vyapam.

CBI had registered the instant case on 06.08.2015 in compliance to the orders dated 09.07.2015 of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and taken over the investigation of FIR No.132/2015 dated 14.04.2015 earlier registered at Police Station Jhansi Road, Gwalior relating to illegal & fraudulent admission in the PMT, 2009 Examination through a solver. It was alleged that candidate Dilip Kannoje had used a solver to get through the PMT 2009 Examination. The photograph and signature of the candidate appearing on the RASA sheet and Admission Form were allegedly different. The State Police had filed chargesheet on 04.07.2016. Further investigation was kept open.

During further investigation, CBI examined absconding accused. The specimen handwritings of the candidate Dilip Kannoje were sent to the CFSL along with the O.M.R. Sheet, RASA and admitted handwritings. The expert’s opinion on the same established that the specimen handwritings & signatures of the accused(Candidate) did not match with handwritings & signatures available on the questioned OMR Sheet & RASA Sheet which was in the name of said accused(candidate). It was also found that Dilip Kannoje was the beneficiary candidate who got his selection in PMT -2009 without appearing in the written examination himself and later on, got himself admitted into MBBS Course at a Medical College, Gwalior by adopting unfair means in conspiracy with others who appeared in the said written examination of PMT- 2009 in his place.

After thorough investigation, CBI filed chargesheet before the Competent Court, Gwalior.

The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted them.
