Jammu, 14th July 2021: The Border Security Force (BSF) spotted a suspicious drone on the International Border in the Arnia sector of Jammu, late Tuesday night. BSF jawans fired on this drone, after which the drone disappeared. According to reports, the drone was being operated from Pakistan and after firing the UAV went back to the Pakistani border.

BSF issued a statement on this matter. According to the statement, “On the intervening night of July 13 and 14, the jawans noticed a red flashing light around 9.52 pm in Arnia sector. The alert soldiers fired on the red flashing light from their place, due to which the drone returned. After this, the area was searched. However, nothing has been found so far”

On the 27th of last month, Pakistani terrorist organizations had blasted two drones at the Jammu Air Force Station. Though the blasts were of very low intensity, two jawans suffered minor injuries. This was the first drone blast in India.

These blasts took place at 1:40 pm. There was a gap of 6 minutes between the two blasts. While the first blast took place on the roof of a one-story building, the second blast took place on the ground. After this drone attack in the Jammu Air Force, there was a ban on the possession and sale of drones or any other UAV in Samba, Ramban, and Barmula.
