New Delhi, 12th April 2021: Three persons have been booked by Delhi Police for allegedly cheating a man of Rs 55 lakh under the pretext of helping get MBBS admission for his daughter.

The victim, 52-year-old Dharmendra Pratap Singh, lives in Hapur, UP with the family. According to Dharmendra, his daughter Gargi Singh passed 12th in the year 2017. After this, she came to Mansarovar Park in Delhi to visit a relative’s house to prepare for the medical examination.

A few days later, when he too came to Delhi, he met an old friend Mahavir Singh Varma, who is a teacher in a college in Khajuri Khas. During the conversation, Mahabir lured Dharmendra to get his daughter admitted to Dr Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi.

During this time he met Krishna Kant Singh alias Abhishek, who runs an institute. After this, Mahabir and Krishna Kant introduced their third partner Lalit Gupta. All three duped 55 lakh rupees in the name of getting admission in the MBBS course but did not get admission even after a long time.

Dharmendra reported the matter to the Mansarovar Park police station. On Saturday, the police registered a case and started the investigation.
