Patna, 3rd August 2021: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a Superintendent, CGST, Patna and an Inspector of CGST in a bribery case and has conducted searches.

A case was registered against the accused posted in the office of Directorate General of GST, Intelligence, Zonal Unit, Patna on a complaint alleging therein the demand of bribe of Rs 50,000 for favouring the complainant’s firm in the enquiry of bank transactions. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant. Searches were conducted at the premises of the accused at Patna.
