Thane, 5th June 2021:
As per the order of the state government, the vaccination drive of the 18 to 44 age group is currently suspended in the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) area.
However, it was reported that actress Mira Chopra had taken the first dose of the vaccine at the Municipal Corporation’s Parking Plaza Vaccination Center. It has come to the light that she used a fake ID card to get vaccinated in which she claimed to be a supervisor at the municipality’s Parking Plaza Covid-19 Hospital.
After that, Vishwanath Kelkar, Deputy Commissioner, Health Department, submitted an inquiry report on the matter to Commissioner Dr Vipin Sharma. It is learnt that 25 people were given fake identity cards and 15 of them were vaccinated. Its repercussions were felt at the Standing Committee meeting on Friday (4th June) as Standing Committee Chairman Sanjay Bhoir has ordered to investigate the matter and file a case against the culprits.
