Lucknow, 5th June 2021: MBA pass youths in Uttar Pradesh will soon get a job opportunity in government hospitals. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a meeting with Team-9 in Lucknow today, said that only patients who need treatment from doctor will be allowed.

In different hospitals or offices of the Health Department and Medical Education Department, wherever doctors have been posted in administrative or managerial work, they should be relieved immediately. Their services will be utilised for medical work only.

Teleconsultation to be improved further: The Chief Minister said that now the activities are gradually returning to normal as the Covid cases are decreasing. OPD and IPD services, surgeries etc. have been started in hospitals, but only those people should go to the hospital, whose condition is critical. Others should avoid getting out of the house and prefer using teleconsultation. The system of teleconsultation in all medical colleges and district level hospitals should be further improved. More doctors should be connected to this. People should be made aware of the use of this service.

The CM said that the continuous efforts being made to keep the state safe from the Covid epidemic are yielding good results. In Uttar Pradesh, which has the highest number of Covid tests in the country, there has been a decline of 94 percent after 36 days today as compared to the peak condition of 3,10,783 patients on 30 April. At present, there are 19,438 active Covid cases. Our recovery rate has gone up to 97.6%. In line with the policy of test and treat, the policy of Uttar Pradesh is yielding encouraging results. So far 5,10,32,967 Covid tests have been conducted in Uttar Pradesh.

1,092 new patients have been found in the last 24 hours. In the same period, 4,346 people have recovered and been discharged. In this way, till now a total of 16,56,763 people of the state have recovered from Covid.

Relaxation in curfew in 64 districts: The CM said that in view of the decreasing infection rate of Covid, 64 districts with less than 600 active cases have been exempted from curfew imposed due to Covid. According to the latest situation, the total number of active cases in Bulandshahr and Bareilly districts has come down to 600.

After the end of the two-day statewide weekly bandh, from the coming Monday, both these districts should also be exempted from the Covid curfew for five days a week from 7 am to 7 pm. All other related rules including weekly and night closure will be applicable in these districts. The total number of active cases has come down to less than 600 in 67 districts of the state. If we look at the recovery situation, by Monday, four-five more districts are also likely to fall in the category of less than 600 active cases.

Vaccination is the shield: The CM said that the Covid vaccination is a protective cover to prevent infection. The Government of Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with the Central Government, is determined to provide vaccine-cover to all citizens at the earliest. Till now 1,98,38,187 doses have been administered in the state. In the last 24 hours, 4,01,582 people got the vaccine-cover. Separate booths will also be operated for convenient vaccination of women from Monday. All necessary preparations in this regard should be completed in time.
