Lucknow, 20th April 2021: Concerned over the increase in coronavirus cases, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the amount of penalty may be increased for not wearing a mask in public places. If someone is caught without a mask the second time, his photo will be made public.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued a directive to officials in this regard on Monday. In UP, a fine of one thousand is being imposed on the first time without a mask and ten thousand rupees for the second time. On Monday, the first case of imposing a fine of ten thousand rupees on youth in Deoria came out.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the Home Department to strictly enforce mandatory use of masks throughout the state. For the first time, a fine of Rs 1,000 is to be imposed without a mask, and a fine of Rs 10,000 for a second time without a mask.

The photos of those who pay a fine of Rs 10,000 for the second time should also be made public. This increased awareness among people about wearing masks. The Chief Minister also said that the provisions of the Containment Zone should also be strictly enforced to prevent the spread of infection.

On Monday, the police of Deoria’s saliva police station caught a young man unmasked during checking. Amarjeet Yadav of Bariyarpur was going somewhere in his four-wheeler without wearing a mask. When the police caught the defaulter, he was aware that thousand rupees the challan amount for not wearing the mask. The police were shocked to hear this. A day before, his invoice worth ten thousand rupees was deducted for not wearing the mask even after the challan.
