Lucknow, 14 June 2021: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the government departments to increase economic activities in the state and resume Mission ‘Employment’.

Regarding this, CM Yogi Adityanath tweeted officially in which he shared a newspaper report. According to the report, CM said, “atleast 1 lakh govt jobs will be given in the current year. Like this, the total no of govt. jobs in almost 5 years will be 5 lakhs.”

According to officials, the state government is planning to fill one lakh government posts by December 2021. The departments where the recruitment process was stalled due to this pandemic has been directed to appoint the selected youth. Education, Police, Health, Energy and Excise departments will recruit the maximum number of youths in the coming days.

According to the state government, more than one lakh women have been given government jobs so far while 1.50 crore workers have been connected to employment through Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). Also, more than five lakh youth from startup units and more than three lakh youth from industrial units, have been employed. 1.8 crore people have been employed through more than 50 lakh Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) units.
