Bhopal, 31st January 2022: The Special Judge, CBI Cases, Bhopal(Madhya Pradesh) has convicted Satya Narayan Yadav (the candidate) & Laxmi Narayan Yadav (Impersonator for the candidate) and sentenced them to undergo 07 years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs.8000/- in a case related to Vyapam scam pertaining to Police Constable Recruitment Test-II-2013 conducted by Vyapam.

CBI had registered a case on 02.09.2015 in compliance of the orders dated 09.07.2015 of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and took over the investigation of case, earlier registered vide FIR No. 128/2014 at Police Station Jahangirabad, Bhopal (MP) on complaint against 02 accused on the allegations that the said accused entered into a conspiracy for cheating, forgery & impersonation in Police Constable Recruitment Test-II-2013 conducted by Vyapam. It was alleged that the Shri Satya Narayan Yadav had managed his selection in written test of Police Constable Recruitment Exam II-2013 conducted by Vyapam on 15.09.2013. A charge sheet was filed by State Police in the court of CJM,Bhopal against  accused Satya Narayan Yadav. Further investigation in the case was kept open.

During the investigation carried out by CBI, Laxmi Narayan Yadav was identified as impersonator on behalf of candidate Satya Narayan Yadav in the said examination. Expert report also opined that specimen thumb impression of the Shri Laxmi Narayan Yadav matched with the thumb impression available on OMR Answer Sheet of the candidate Satya Narayan Yadav in the said case

After investigation, CBI filed a supplementary chargesheet against Shri Satya Narayan Yadav and Shri Laxmi Narayan Yadav on 01.07.2016 in the court of Special Judge, CBI Cases, Bhopal.
