Schools that were closed for a long time due to Corona were open a few days ago but had to be closed again due to pollution. Now after the announcement of Yellow Alert, all educational institutions including schools, colleges and coaching centres in Delhi will remain closed.

In view of the increasing case of Corona, this decision was taken by the Delhi government on Tuesday. The way the cases are increasing, it seems that there is little possibility of opening of schools in the coming days as well.

After this announcement, from December 31 to January 14 next year, the council schools up to class 8 will remain closed.

According to the information received, the Uttar Pradesh government has taken this decision due to the increasing cold wave and severe cold. At the same time, Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has also issued a detailed guideline in this regard. Under this, schools will have to make arrangements for online education as an option. If anyone in the school shows symptoms of cold, fever, then the school will have to make arrangements to take him home immediately.

Schools may also be closed in West Bengal too as the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday asked officials to review the pandemic situation in the state as the number of COVID cases rose due to the highly contagious Omicron variant. She also said that, “schools and colleges may be closed for some time if necessary.”

The Chief Minister held an administrative review meeting at Ganga Sagar, where she said, “decision needed to be taken on international flights coming to Kolkata.”

In the states where schools are being opened, it will be mandatory to follow the necessary corona precautions including wearing masks and maintaining physical distance in the class. All classrooms will be sanitized. No assembly or sports will be held. While schools are being closed in other states due to fear of virus, in Odisha, schools for junior classes are going to open from January 03. The school will be open to children from classes 1 to 5.
