Mumbai, 17th June 2021: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had raided the house of encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma in Andheri today morning in connection with the Mansukh Hiren murder case.

After that, Sharma was arrested around noon. The NIA is investigating the case of explosives found outside Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani’s house Antilia and the subsequent Hiren murder case. In this context, the NIA had raided Sharma’s house this morning. He is the second senior Mumbai Police officer to be arrested in the case after Sachin Waze.

Police had found gelatin sticks in the Scorpio car outside Antilia. The car was owned by businessman Hiren. Later he was found dead.

Sharma had earlier been questioned in detail by the NIA. After the arrest of Waze, the NIA conducted a lengthy interrogation of Sharma on April 7 and 8. It was said that Sharma’s old colleague Waze was also brought before him and questioned. However, no action was taken against Sharma when the possibility of his arrest was raised. But after raiding Sharma’s house on Thursday, the NIA finally arrested him in the afternoon.
