Gondia (Maharashtra), 11th March 2022: Tibetan refugees in Gondia remembered their martyrs and commemorated their brave resolve on 63rd Tibetan uprising day.

The members of Tibetan community at the Norgyeling Tibetan camp in Gondia district gathered in the early hours of 10th March to mark the 63rd anniversary of the Tibetan uprising day.

The Tibetan community had stood up against the mighty pla on this day in 1959 which culminated in the Dalai Lama moving to india and continuing the peace full struggle there on.

During the event the the statement issued by the the cabinet of Tibetan administration in exile was read out in front of the attendees. A special prayers session was also organised at the monastery of the camp in memory of the Tibetan martyrs who self immolated for the Tibetan cause.

The Tibetan community despite their limited strength has continued its peaceful struggle for almost a century. Despite all the atrocities meted out to the Tibetan community they have restricted themselves to peaceful means of protest which is in consonance with the teachings of their forefathers.
