Indore (Madhya Pradesh), 3rd July 2021: A case of rape of a female patient has come to light in a government hospital in Indore. The allegation of rape is on the ward boy of the hospital itself.

A case was registered against the 32-year-old ward boy on Monday night. Police said that the incident took place on July 28.

According to police, the victim woman is 50 years old and is a resident of nearby Dhar district. The woman had come for dialysis in a government hospital located in the neighbouring district. The ward boy of the hospital took her to an empty room in the hospital itself and raped her. When the woman protested, the ward boy was scared to be caught. He got the woman admitted to a private ward of the hospital. The woman was admitted for two days. According to officials, the accused ward boy then gave Rs 1,000 to the woman and sent her back home.

After two days, the woman informed the police about the atrocities that happened to her and at the same time the matter reached the media as well. A video of the woman accusing the ward boy has also surfaced. After the matter came to light, the police have registered a case for an offence under section 375 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code.

It is being said that the accused ward boy is absconding since the registration of the case. Police say that the search is on for the missing accused ward boy.
