Noida, 2nd January 2023: Now, Noida’s information technology (IT) parks can have bars for clients and staff. Since businesses reported that their employees spend a lot of time in office buildings and demand “leisure time,” Noida Authority stated it had altered its regulation on institutional properties.

They typically have luxurious workplaces with cutting-edge amenities. IT parks in the city can now include bars for its staff and customers in addition to gyms, sports clubs, and eateries.

Officials from the Noida Authority announced on Sunday that at the board meeting on 28th December, they had updated their policy on institutional buildings beyond 5 acres. After obtaining the requisite permits, the city’s IT parks’ current eateries can serve alcohol, and new bars can be established on the campus.

The decision, according to officials, was made after taking into account a long-standing requirement by IT companies that their employees spend a lot of time in the office and need some “free time.” Additionally, they added, IT companies host overseas clients who require downtime while they are in town. Before this, institutions could have gyms, sports clubs, and restaurants, but no liquor licences were provided.
